Portland City, (Oregon State, USA) is one of the sister cities of Kaohsiung. Mayor Sam Adams came to attend The 2009 World Games opening ceremony. The next day, he arranged a special visit to Epoch Energy Technology Corp. (Epoch) in order to understand the unique technology of Epoch’s oxy-hydrogen generators, as well as to see some of its many practical applications.
Sam Adams understands that Epoch’s oxy-hydrogen generators have been used in Water-Fuel Buses in Kaohsiung city as well as other cities around Taiwan and many countries, such as Korea, China, Thailand, Japan, Holland etc. He also invited Epoch’s President, Mr. Jacky Lin continue ongoing dialogs with Portland City and hopes to work together in the near future.
Epoch is named “the leader in the renewable energy resource field of Taiwan” because it earned a world-wide reputation by researching and creating oxy-hydrogen generators itself. Epoch was given the 2008 Taiwan Excellence Award, SME Innovation Research Award, and The Energy Globe Award for the second year in a row, and has been promoting its “Water-Fuel Bus” beginning with the Kaohsiung City Government. Nowadays, this remarkable product is receiving a lot of attention in the transportation field because it not only reduces emissions, but also fuel consumption.
