9812022Epoch’s chairman, Jacky Lin’s educational background includes his current study for an Industrial Engineering and Management Master Degree from the National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences. Recently, he received a National Invention and Creation Award Silver Medal for his Dual-Fuel System. 

A total of 321 products were qualified to enter the “2009 National Invention and Creation Award”. There were awards in three categories; Invention, Creation and Contribution. In addition, this year saw the most products ever to be entered the competition.

Pollution has caused climate change, and fuel costs are a major concern to everyone. In order to help resolve these problems, Jacky Lin developed the “Dual-Fuel System” and has successfully installed it as a supplementary fuel system in gasoline and diesel powered motor vehicles. This invention not only can improve fuel efficiency but also lower emissions. While it has only begun to go on sale in the market, it has already received extremely positive support from many countries, with numerous companies expressing their strong desire to cooperate with Epoch. Because of this vital and precious experience, he a greater understanding of the world’s need relative to performance, market price and product design and packaging. Next year he will also enter the “National Invention and Creation Award”.

Besides this new product, Epoch Energy Technology Corp. uses its patented oxy-hydrogen gas technology to be integrated with incinerators, and moreover create its mobile biohazard purification system, the EP-2000; a self-contained fully functional waste incineration system built onto a trailer platform. Kaohsiung City government also has cooperated with Epoch in developing the Water-Fuel Bus. Both parties signed an agreement and are well underway in retrofitting Kaohsiung city buses in order to improve air quality while lowering operating costs and fuel consumption.
